Hi there! I wanted to write a quick post and welcome you to the Chef Jacob community!
Here are a couple things you need to know to make the most of your experience:
Right now at launch, this community has two boards, General Discussion, and Today I Cooked.
For now, any questions, comments and feature request you have can be posted to the general discussion. If you want to share something that you cooked or ate today that you find interesting, you can share it in the "Today I Cooked" board.
As the community grows and the need for more boards is required or requested by you, I will happily add them. As Inaugural members of the CJB Community, you have the ability to help shape our growth, so please feel free to offer up your suggestions for additional boards, future posts, and education content.
To gain access to this forum, you signed up for the Chef Jacob Pro membership. As a Chef Jacob Pro, you have access to Level 1 through Level 3 of our culinary training program which at this time, contains 15 unique courses made up of long form podcasts and step-by-step video tutorials. At the bottom of each lesson, you will find a comment section where you can give feedback and ask a question. If you'd like to ask a specific question pertaining to a lesson, please ask it in the comment section of that lesson so other students can learn from the questions and replies as they work there way through a specific course.
Any off topic questions or comments can be posted here to the forum.
Formatting you questions and forum posts is extremely easy. To shorten your learning curve, here's what you need to know.
First, when you select your text, a formatting box will automatically show up as shown below:
See how I inserted that nifty photo above? That's super easy too. All you need to do is use the forward slash key '/' wherever you would like to insert a photo, and a simple drop down menu with various options will show up as shown below:
You can also use the > embed option if you'd like to share a YouTube video or embed something else directly into you post.
Your crash course is complete!
Thanks again for being a part of the CJB Community, and I look forward to interacting with you on your journey towards culinary excellence!
All the best!
~Jacob
